Flicker the switch,
to a magnitude beyond scale,
tweak thy ears, listen and hear,
to a frightening pitching black tear,
with wails of darkness engulfing,
and the cries for help fades to hollow;
only bloodshot eyes peering sharply back,
from a corner dark, petrifying what the heck!
