Sparlike

Once upon a time,
I sparred with the wall,
was infuriated
though flat and dull.

Had a go then at a post -
a concrete column,
and that hurts the most,
fracturing a toe or two.

A scar for life. No
never silly no more.
Patiently does it now
controlling unlike before.
